The Western world, which is evil, has been studying the phenomenon of cognitive dissonance in psychology for several decades. Cognitive dissonance can refer to knowledge, thoughts, beliefs, values, and more. When there is a clear conflict between cognition and reality, the process of how people's thinking and behavior change becomes the subject of psychological research. New studies do not mean that this phenomenon itself has only recently appeared; it has always existed and is an inherent psychological behavior in humans. For example, the sour grape fable, when people find they cannot eat the grapes, they might think: these grapes are sour. This is one of the response ways to cognitive dissonance, where distorted cognition is used to resolve psychological discrepancies. The grapes could be sweet; but saying they are sour when you can't have them feels much better.

Sour grapes is a mild example of cognitive dissonance, and it may be much more severe than assuming a taste, such as when the Nazis found that book contents were influencing their propaganda. The Nazis began burning books. Similar behavior in China, such as the Burning of Books and Burying of Scholars, has a history dating back over two thousand years.
正常的认知调节无非是在几个方向上：修正认知或者修正行为， 尊重事实或者改变现实。 但是既然是失调了，显然无法走向正确的方向，此时的行为表现将让人吃惊， 心理学研究细节不再此深入了。下面， 我们将认知失调问题放入极权三角形中观察。
Normal cognitive adjustment essentially involves调节 in a few directions: correcting cognition or correcting behavior, respecting facts or changing reality. But since it is already失调, obviously it cannot go in the right direction. At this point, the behavioral表现 will be surprising, and details of psychological research are not delved into here. Below, we will observe the problem of cognitive dissonance within the authoritarian triangle.

In a totalitarian society like China, cognitive dissonance has been a universal phenomenon since ancient times. In the centralized structure where everything is dominated and oppressed by power, the essence of words often becomes lies. Whether it's today’s Communist Party of China or the so-called traditional culture for two millennia, they share a common characteristic: brainwashing. Those who have been brainwashed naturally experience cognitive dissonance when they enter the real world. Whether it be Confucian and Mencius teachings from ancient times, or the socialism, class struggle, or serving the people of the Communist Party, those who learn these contents will inevitably see power seep into every corner of reality, forcing people to kowtow to those in power after entering society. The learning methods for traditional culture are rote memorization and widespread corporal punishment-based indoctrination, while the education under the Communist Party uses fabricated history for examination screening. Regardless of ancient loyalty, filial piety, and rites, or today's people's democracy, they will all be severely out of sync in a society full of intrigue and mutual betrayal. At this point, the methods used by both the Communist Party and ancient China are essentially not much different: the method of reinforcing violence with lies can treat various negative consequences that may arise from cognitive dissonance, climb up, and you can also lie to those below, and people will kowtow to listen. On the other hand, if one reveals the essence of the dissonance and involves truth, one will taste what supports a totalitarian society’s power: enough violence from all angles. Why should you be the only one to wake up when everyone else is drunk?

To illustrate cognitive dissonance using the ancient imperial examination system, this selection of candidates contains no knowledge of production or life, could no one have realized over a thousand years that the imperial examinations were anti-productive and anti-life? But the standard understanding is: "There's gold屋 in books." Similarly, with the moral superiority of Confucian scholarship, why can't people see the suffering of eunuchs and women's feet? And this went on for centuries without anyone noticing, seemingly never causing discomfort to these moral scholars. Authoritarian regimes naturally create cognitive dissonance to enforce obedience, thus reducing their need for violent taxation among a庞大的 agricultural population.

Totalitarian triangles address cognitive dissonance in a natural way by eliminating the ability for correct cognition, cut off the foot if it hurts, cut off the head if it aches, one size fits all. Without cognitive abilities, of course, there is no possibility of cognitive dissonance either. Or, structurally speaking, cognitive abilities are turned into upward mobility by structural forces.

Such a solution solves one problem but brings about another outcome: an ignorant society. In this society, people's understanding is difficult to align with facts, or perhaps they have no ability to respect facts. Thus, some people derive from the fact that China had four great inventions in its history that it might likely develop modern technology on its own, which is merely another example of cognitive dissonance. How can science be developed without the ability to recognize facts? In a society where power structures eliminate logic and correct understanding, how can such an ignorant society develop science? Unless scientific thinking does not require respecting facts or logic.
也因此，这里人们广泛的发展出各种失调症状：双重标准，事实否认， 凡事看两个方面等等，和「1984」中的 Double Thoughts, Double Speak 类似。 在毛泽东时代荒诞并且残暴的政治运动结束之后， 邓小平时代似乎终于抛弃了毛的运动式，但是认知失调的问题却是一贯保留， 比如此时的政治口号：知识就是力量！ -- 那么，力量是不是知识？ 让一部分人先富起来！ -- 是谁挑选这一部分人并且让他们先富起来？这个谁会不会更先富起来？
The dissolving of the Soviet Union was surprising in how it ended. America emerged as the victor in the Cold War. However, the Communist Party of the Soviet Union was dissolved by Gorbachev and Yeltsin.

The delusion of being above others feels like a gentle spring breeze in the spider community.

The cognitive dissonance in China is a result of the societal structure's guarantees, deeply rooted, neither studied nor treated. The power to distort structural cognition will ensure that the entire society returns to idiocy and chaos, which is also the reason for periodic great floods. The reform and opening up during Deng Xiaoping's era did not touch on such fundamental aspects, and this great flood is also the recurring grand blood sacrifice cycle we have repeatedly studied on the pyramid.

When Mao Zedong's shouts at the founding of the People's Republic of China still echo: The Chinese people have stood up. Until now, the Chinese people who have been persecuted are virtually all dead and alive among the population, with the number of those already dead ranging from fifty million to one hundred million. Most of the living do not realize they are caught in survivorship bias, and most of the deceased did not realize they died at the hands of a group of psychopaths. Moreover, this psychological deviation is caused by social structures that go unrecognized, unspoken, and unstudied, with its results uncounted deaths. A society governed solely by power is low-dimensional, therefore it naturally slices through multidimensional human nature, with rationality and emotion being castrated to their roots by the forces of social structure. In the totalitarian triangle, people's cognitive abilities are inevitably distorted by power, one principle for the degeneration of humanity into reptiles.

If true human history shows the struggle of people between hell and heaven in the past, China, which continues to reform and open up after 1978, makes it impossible for its people to recognize true human history.

In 1990, Iraq invaded Kuwait, which was met with UN sanctions. During the Desert Storm, the U.S. led a coalition to attack Iraq, and this war had no悬念 (ambiguous outcome). High-tech weapons were used in the Gulf War to minimize civilian casualties, precision-guided weapons demonstrated an extremely asymmetric warfare, when Iraqi forces lost their communication capabilities, they also lost their command and control abilities, leaving them helpless and easy to capture. This was an upgrade from the Vietnam War for the U.S., with military strikes now focusing less on personnel kill ratios.

The loud noises from the machinery of geopolitics not only blocked the Soviet and Eastern European revolutions, but also raised China's status to become the leader of the authoritarian bloc. This came at a cost: thousands of Chinese people accelerated their evolution towards lizards, and were very proud of it.

Democratic systems are often inefficient in decision-making, assembly, and action, but they do protect human life effectively.

If the Communist Party of the Soviet Union had not been dissolved, perhaps it could have earned redemption. The reality was that it broke into pieces. If languages could earlier gain the freedom to speak truth and spread rationality, Russian, Ukrainian, Belarusian, Uzbek... might better solve these issues? However, after the dissolution of the Soviet Union, people said everything was a conspiracy by the Western world, back then they had even returned Lenin.

Had language been able to obtain the freedom to speak the truth and spread reason in advance, perhaps Russian, Ukrainian, Belarusian, Uzbek... would have been better equipped to address problems? Perhaps these long-standing nations harbor wisdom greater than Mr. Gorbachev's new thinking? However, after the dissolution of the Soviet Union, people said that all this was a conspiracy by the Western world, and it was they who brought Lenin back in the first place.

More than 70 years of Soviet authoritarianism made even the tyranny of tsars seem less brutal. The greatest harm of an authoritarian system is not just that it prevents people from being human, but that it renders language unable to function as a means of communication. Although democratic systems can be inefficient in many aspects—decisions, gathering, and actions may all proceed slowly—they are still effective in protecting human life.

In international relations, the machinery of geopolitics operates with tremendous force. The interlocking and driving of its gears are even more irresistible. The former Soviet Union, as the largest territorial bloc on Eurasia, has Europe to its east, Central Asia and the Middle East to its south, and directly borders China in East Asia. Between the US and the Soviet Union, it was a bipolar Cold War world, with the Soviet Union influencing the entire globe.

In the world system, countries fit together like huge gears, pushing against each other. In the following十几年里, the term "color revolutions" was used to describe a series of social upheavals in various countries: Armenia, Mongolia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Bangladesh, Yugoslavia... When countries were pushed out of their positions, large bureaucratic systems dragged vast populations down with them, pushing history into its next phase.

In the same year that the Soviet Union dissolved, 1991, a Finnish graduate student Linus Torvalds attempted to release his personal project, which later became the open-source computer operating system kernel: GNU Linux. This was open source software, a form of public knowledge. Among the advocates of open-source software was an American named Richard, Richard Stallman, who was the developer of the Emacs editor and founder of the Gnu organization. When people were confused by his logically clear but weirdly felt open-source philosophy, open-source software became one of the trends in software development. Artificial intelligence must rely on open-source software. However, Stallman insisted that free software rather than just open-source software was his主张。
