In 1845, there was a great famine in Ireland due to the potato crop failure; one million people died. The two prime ministers at that time were Peel and Russell, with Queen Victoria reigning.
The reason for the famine is uncertain, and it's unclear whether it can be believed that the potatoes simply rotted, or that they avoided being eaten by humans due to their acceptance of fungal or viral proximity. Afterwards, a large number of Irish people who did not die of hunger left their homeland, perhaps two million people in total, many of whom went to America.
In the nearly two centuries preceding the Irish Famine, local Catholics lost land, with about 70% of it falling into the hands of Protestant immigrants. Meanwhile, the population surged rapidly, reaching eight million on the island before the famine. The island's history was marked by rebellions and resentment. The Irish once came close to success, but French reinforcements failed to land due to weather changes, and then, nearly driven mad with fear, the British army unleashed a brutal retaliation.
Catholics in Ireland were oppressed by a series of laws called Penal Laws, which prohibited Catholics from living within five to seven miles of cities, receiving education, holding public office, possessing weapons, attending church services, purchasing land, or renting farmland...
Strange as it is: there's no prohibition against catching one's breath.
In the famine, the royal family and parliament perhaps thought of the latest economic ideas at the time: the government should not interfere with free markets. Or let God's hand save the starving. The same thinking led to millions dying every time there was a famine in British India afterward. People asked the queen to donate some pounds for the famine victims in Ireland, and the queen seemed to donate one thousand pounds. The staff of the committee tactfully suggested that this might be too little, so the queen donated another one thousand pounds the next day.
From the time states appeared four thousand years ago, we have been cursing such beasts, I hope readers understand that this is what language should be capable of.
At the time, Britain had become a maritime power, leading the industrial wave forward. During a major famine in the country, the Irish found it hard to forgive this nation and buried their loved ones before crossing the ocean to the New World. People did not notice that China was also suffering from famine; around 1810/11 and 1846/49, it is said that over 40 million people perished due to consecutive harvest failures, though detailed records are scarce.
But in China, deaths are never counted clearly. Many people have also failed to recognize the evil of 'murder'. Murder is murder; time, place,人物, or number doesn't matter. However, there are different sayings in Chinese culture: killing for one's country, killing for ancestral traditions, and killing for loyalty, filial piety, and righteousness.
This is the virtue promoted by 'Dao that does not dao'. Killing is no longer considered killing, and the killer establishes a sense of justice for themselves. This is one of the reasons why deaths are uncountable.
In 1846, American doctor Morton demonstrated ether anesthesia for surgical operations, and in 1847, Scottish doctor Simpson showcased chloroform anesthesia techniques. Following this, anesthesia technology was rapidly推广 anesthesia technology widely, and operating rooms gradually became less like hellish torture chambers.

In 1847, the French government banned gatherings, so people hosted banquets instead. When the government tried to prevent a banquet in February 1848, it accidentally triggered social tensions. Louis Philippe fled, and Louis-Napoléon Bonaparte became president, France entered the Second French Republic period, The Bonaparte family returned to the center of politics, It is generally believed that President Napoleon represented the bourgeoisie and capitalism.
In 1848, Marx and Engels drafted the Communist Manifesto, which was published in London, England.
It is not a crime to write an article with errors, and it is even hard to avoid them, but why are people forbidden from correcting these errors? Who does this?
If Marx and Engels' theories allowed scholars to debate, these theories could be referenced but not endorsed, and could even be said to be ungrounded. Scholars from any class could attempt to do so, and without a bias towards any class, common sense and reason alone would reveal their flaws. Society is inherently diverse and not defined by binary class confrontation. The idea that the proletariat must fight the bourgeoisie to the death is absurd. Marx and Engels' theories have significant defects in both rationality and emotion, distorting reality to derive fallacies. Thus, they can only be used as an excuse in an ignorant society.
The evils attributed by Marx and Engels to the bourgeoisie have since been realized in full and in truth by communists bearing their banner.
The sad part is that their theories justify violence for the apes.
Their theories unfortunately serve as an excuse for the apes. They lived in what were then developed countries,
and failed to realize how deeply rooted the desire for violence was in their world.
After the Qing government admitted defeat in the Opium War, in 1850, the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom uprising broke out in China. But again, history proved that insurgents would degrade into chimpanzees—a historical law. During the initial victories of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, the leaders underwent a transformation, occupying luxurious palaces in Nanjing and filling their harem with beautiful women and servants. If they had succeeded, the pyramid would still be the same tower. The dream of the Heavenly Kingdom turned into countless deaths; it was the Manchu court that extinguished the Taiping uprising, with most of the bloodshed being borne by Han Chinese.
In 1852, the two leaders of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, Yang Xiuqing and Xiao Chaogui, jointly published an article titled: "救一切天生天養中囯人民諭". Although the text itself is not particularly impressive, these two concepts—'China' and 'the Chinese people'—first appeared on the historical stage.
In this book, we consistently use 'China' to refer to a geographical location, from the Shang, Zhou, Qin, Han dynasties, through the Song, Yuan, and Ming dynasties. For most of that time, the people living on this land did not call themselves Chinese. However, before the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, there was no concept of 'China' in history.
Similarly, the concept of 'the Chinese nation' also does not exist now; it would have to wait for Liang Qichao's invention half a century later.
Those who rebel against the status quo, those who fight for survival, all climb towards the same tower in the end.
This is the Beast God's Tower,拥有兽化的魔力, it is not that these people are inherently evil, but those who climb it will transform into beasts unconsciously.
People say that those who see the truth of history are too痛苦 to bear, the problem is that those who fail to see the truth of history, including their descendants, cannot avoid such pain either.
At the same time as the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom uprising, there were continuous uprisings and wars such as the Nian Rebellion, causing huge population deaths.
Grand blood sacrifices on Chinese pyramids have again completed a glorious chapter.
In the same year, 1850, German physicist Clausius attempted to express the second law of thermodynamics more accurately using the concept of entropy. He further tried to extend the first and second laws of thermodynamics to the universe, summarizing them into two descriptions:
- The law of conservation of cosmic energy applies.
- The entropy of the universe tends towards its maximum value.
This directly influenced people's understanding of the universe, more physicists began to seriously study the definition of entropy. Later, Planck provided the final form of Boltzmann's formula for entropy in 1900: S = K * Log(W), but Planck credited the honor to another scholar, believing that it was Boltzmann who discovered the logarithmic relationship between entropy and microstates, and this formula was engraved on Boltzmann's tombstone.

Scholars can expand people's understanding, living in a finite time frame. Time may be a one-way street, while life is a trap, with birth and death forming its boundaries. The flesh has only a limited existence, no one can step outside the well, and the end result is mere surface-level observation.
People are people, and life is finite. Natural science helps people understand more eternal laws, allowing thoughts to escape the trap of life, and comprehend a wider space and time as described by science.
Some explore the theory of nirvana, studying the realm of "no-self."
But when lost in exploration and becoming something other than human,
it's best to wake up quickly; reality has not yet perished.
Whether facing knowledge or reality from any angle,
the subject should always be a person.
Any entity—be it a concept, knowledge, ideal, or anything else—
lacks its foundation in science if it excludes the existence of humans,
and there is no need to speak of equality. When an individual enters a realm of nothingness,
nothing remains but emptiness itself; what can one say about that? That is a non-human world.
Regardless of whether the bodhi tree is a tree or not, or whether the wind makes the wind chimes move without the heart moving, we can assume that seeing these things and thinking about them are done by humans.
Since there are people, there are stories of people.
If Buddhism and Daoism enter realms of emptiness and nothingness, although they may be profound,
these realms still exist within human thought.
We should understand that the Earth is a planet full of life,
and too much suffering in history has been due to humanity losing its humanity.
To get people to enter these realms, perhaps we should leave the Earth first.
During the Self-Strengthening Movement in late Qing Dynasty, the court's approach to the new world was to learn technology rather than understand human nature, which seems to have things backward. In Chinese idioms, this is described as "climbing a tree to catch fish," a truly ape-like method.
During the long evolution of humans, the original evolutionary path is traced by fossils of ancient humans, showing the process of physical transformation, which spans hundreds of thousands of years.
After the agricultural revolution,文字 appeared, and more progress occurred beyond the physical body. The process of evolution became a process of progress, seemingly with the accumulation of wisdom outpacing the rate of physical evolution. Industrialization brought about greater productivity, with more machines producing goods.
In 1851, Melville published the novel Moby-Dick, which tells the story of people pursuing a whale. The book didn't sell well and only managed to sell five copies in its first year. Fortunately, seventy years later, people finally discovered that he had written a masterpiece. However, by the time it was adapted into a film, whales in the ocean were almost hunted to near extinction.
In 1853, Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom used ether anesthesia during childbirth and gave birth to Prince Leopold. Pain-free labor studies began to be promoted, using either anesthetics or natural methods. This made it possible for women to reduce the severe pain they endured throughout their lives to a relatively lighter degree.
In 1853, four steam-powered ships entered what is today Tokyo Bay in Japan, the Japanese rulers accepted the reality and ceased their isolationist policies, an event known as the Black Ship Incident because all four American ships were black-painted.
After the Taiping Rebellion until the end of World War II, the number of people who may have starved to death in China is hard to believe: over 50 million. This figure lacks data evidence.
If this number doesn't represent the quantity of insects, then it signifies a society devoid of humanity.
Decaying 50 million corpses would emit a shocking stench, yet it disappears into the air.
This world is often called the human world, while another world is referred to as the阴间 (yīnjiān). In famine, the power of death drives the cycle between yin and yang. Nothing can vanish out of existence; matter and energy are conserved, with conservation laws reigning over human life. Without people's knowledge or awareness, they have already lived in the 鬼畜 world (guichuxiuluo), trapped in a realm of ghosts and beasts.
When the pyramid suppressed everything, this world became hell.
The Pyramids are not a complete regular octahedron, with the ground serving as a mirror. Beneath the base of one pyramid lies another, both symmetrical with the earth. Climbing up the pyramid can lead to official promotion and wealth, but such prosperity might not be a good thing.
We can see the role of language in people building society as a huge pyramid, as the pyramid grows larger, it becomes distorted and poses a risk of collapse. At this point, people need the basic function of language: communication, telling the truth.
But the texts inside the pyramids have formed a mist, and no one has seen the truth. Few who saw the truth were afraid to speak, and those who spoke were persecuted.
The increasingly distorted pyramid finally collapsed, resulting in the deaths of a large number of people. And the death toll could never be counted precisely, as those who had died were already crawlers, while those who survived continued to evolve into crawlers.
The function of language has been castrated; it cannot criticize society, cannot reveal the truth, cannot distinguish truth from falsehood... cannot pierce through the armor called 'justice' on the devil, cannot strip away the sheepskin from the wolf's body... ultimately, language fails to carry the logic of human thought, and human history becomes that of lizards.
This is the importance of freedom of speech, but many Chinese people say: starve you to death and you'll know what's more important.
In 1855, the British Bessemer improved the steelmaking process. Steel is an iron-carbon compound, where the weight percentage of carbon exceeds 2.14%. Steel outperforms iron in many ways, but cutting and welding steel are even easier than handling wood; it can be bent yet remain hard. Steel makes it easier to realize designs on blueprints for ships, buildings, machinery, and equipment, becoming the most fundamental material in industry across various fields.
Steel also quickly became a material of war, in guns, armor, and naval vessels. Mass-produced military equipment could grant a country an entirely different level of combat capability, and also led people to be completely captivated by such power. Industrialization propelled more nations into militarism.
By this time, the British Royal Navy had been fighting against the slave trade at sea for a long time, from the formation of the West Africa Squadron in 1808. For half a century and across several generations, military personnel pursued slave traders and searched for pirates on the high seas, almost eliminating the slave trade in all four oceans with one nation's effort. During this period, they fought against all major naval powers. At sea, the Royal Navy had already made the transportation of slaves and piracy gradually disappear.

Meanwhile, more and more steam ironclad warships sailed into the sea.
Also in 1855, the Yellow River left the Huaihe and flowed back to Shandong, taking the outlet of the Daghe River. In August of that year, a breach occurred at the section of the river near Kaifeng, completing another major course change of the lower reaches of the Yellow River. Disaster struck agricultural areas, but the Qing dynasty government was too occupied with other matters to address it. Historically, the downstream area of the Yellow River is known as the Huangfan region. If we say that the Yellow River is the mother river of the Chinese nation, this mother has a violent and hysterical temper. The Qing dynasty did not leave with the Central Plains' mother river; after the course change of the great river, Han officials who rose to prominence during the Ming-Qing transition continued their efforts to pacify the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, Nian rebels, and Huiguo disturbances for the Manchu imperial family.
In 1859, British biologist Charles Darwin published On the Origin of Species. He was a frail man, but in his thinking, he forced humanity to reconsider itself. By then, cell theory had also been established, with contributions from German plant scientist Matthias Schleiden and animal scientist Theodor Schwann.
However, the process of evolution usually takes millions of years to complete, making it difficult to verify through scientific experiments. A clear question is: If humans evolved from apes, why haven't other apes in Africa undergone a similar evolution in the past four million years?
In 1860, Emperor Xianfeng fled Beijing, and the Anglo-French联军 entered the city and burned down the Yuanmingyuan. If we collect the events leading up to this, one can find that their actions were at least justified, and it was not civilians' houses that were set ablaze. However, burning is still burning, and setting fire is a criminal act.
The main characters in human history should be humans, but in Chinese history, it often revolves around things like the Old Summer Palace. The burning of the Old Summer Palace was the concluding event of the Second Opium War, which lasted for four years. There are no detailed records of the Chinese civilians who were killed during the war, and their names, ages, times, and locations are not listed.
At the time, enslaved people worked on the plantations of North American colonizers.
Regarding American slaves,
Mrs. Stowe, a white female author, wrote about the lives of slaves in "Uncle Tom's Cabin",
which was published in 1852.
Southerners immediately realized that this Northern female writer had no real understanding of the peaceful life that slaves enjoyed in the South.
Compared to the slaves, workers in Northern factories did not have a more comfortable work environment either.
Slavery had not disappeared with feudal society;
in fact, it persisted in industrial societies.
It was not necessarily as brutal and terrifying as one might imagine—like the happy lives of plantation slaves depicted in another American female author's book "Gone with the Wind" (published in 1939).
However, regardless of this, fighting broke out between Southerners and Northerners—the American Civil War, also known as the War Between the States or the Emancipation War.
It lasted from 1861 to 1865,
with over 750,000 soldiers on both sides losing their lives before the South finally acknowledged that they had lost this war of the rich and for the poor.
During the fighting, the U.S. Army's boots were not left or right-specific.
During the American Civil War, the country was undergoing industrialization, this nation not only had slavery but also polygamy, the Mormon Church built new temples in Utah and attempted to practice polygamy. People may have difficulty distinguishing between heaven and hell during orgasm, but, if sin could still be publicly acknowledged, it could still be controlled. The United States, as a country, has never possessed the great胸怀of Qin Shi Huang to embrace all under heaven, yet it has always been able to tread the阶梯 of human nature, which is almost a miracle. Various systems of sin appeared in its history, but if there was one thing that could still be acknowledged, it was that people were kept rational, thanks to the blessing of free speech.
Dialectical logic can prove all of this to be a class struggle, yet the liberation of slaves is not merely by fighting slaves, nor are women in polygamous systems liberated by rebellious women. The existence of human conscience does not require dialectics as a prerequisite.
One of the reasons for the abolitionist war was a story about a black uncle written by a white female writer, whether or not anyone believed it, the then commander-in-chief of the U.S. military, who was also the then President Lincoln, said to the author: Miss, you started a big war.
Let's take a peek at what comes after the great war, and view another independent thread on the timeline:
Lincoln died from an assassination a week after the end of the war. Four presidents in American history who were killed in office were all excellent presidents. Vice President succeeded to Lincoln's position, and then the issue of black people was postponed by a century—issues like education rights, voting rights, equal employment opportunities, and personal safety.
At that time, the education and economic conditions of blacks were far below the average level of America at that time. We do not know how Lincoln would have handled these issues if he had lived, but there is no doubt that Lincoln was not an idealistic天真主义者.
Later, the Ku Klux Klan emerged in the American South, and they inflicted lethal beatings at night on both Black and White people whom they disliked. This private punishment was known as lynching, which is "lynch" in English, although it closely approximates the phonetic translation of Chinese '凌迟', the victims did indeed die, but there were still significant differences. In the English context, Lynch typically refers to an extrajudicial execution, often by hanging, but could also involve shootings, drownings, or even torture, making it a key term in American history. Between 1880 and 1968, approximately 4,743 people were lynched, of whom 3,446 were Black individuals. Frequently, victims were accused of murder or rape during these atrocities, but investigations revealed that about one-third were innocent. Poor White people (including Irish, Prussian, and Eastern European immigrants) were also among the lynch victims, and Asian Americans were not excluded as victims either. The Emancipation Proclamation had already corrected the liberation of Southern Blacks to include equality with segregation.
One of the reasons for specifically writing about the number of victims who were wrongfully killed is to hope that crawlers try to count the victims of atrocities that died during the same period in China. The author does not intend to defame Chinese history; the purpose is to illustrate the principle behind the killings in the pyramids. Approximately at the same time, there was a clear legal provision for the death penalty by slow slicing in the so-called judicial system of the Qing dynasty, which was later gradually abolished under pressure from Western intruders.
As good as over.
During the Civil War, blacks had opportunities to join the Union Army and performed well, maintaining military honor. However, later on, they were still segregated within the army; during World War I (1917), they primarily took on auxiliary roles. During World War II (1944), in some battlefields towards its end, racial segregation was canceled. Some progressive units, such as Patton’s tank corps, began to treat black soldiers equally earlier, giving them equal weapons and tasks. General Patton said to the black soldiers as he did to any other soldier: "Don’t let me down; if there is trouble, come to me; I’m on the first tank." In the Korean War (1950-1952), racial differences were no longer distinguished within the army, and blacks and whites mixed together. The lower-ranking soldiers usually came from the social underclass, many of whom had not received professional training elsewhere, thus choosing to enlist and fight. Towards the later stages of the Korean War, President Eisenhower, an experienced soldier, showed no objection to black troops; he promoted many black officers. Although his economic policies were not stellar, at that time, the Cold War pressures benefited from his methodical and calm handling as a military man. When asked during his presidential campaign about when the war in Korea would end, he replied: "If elected, I will go to North Korea myself." This indicated that the war was effectively over for him. As good as over.
Another American general who commanded the Inchon landing in Korea also had a chance to run for president but was severely disciplined by Chinese soldiers, even though he had been relieved of his post by President Truman. However, during the years just before the Korean War and after World War II, he helped Japan with its post-war reconstruction.
There are thousands of Chinese soldiers’ bodies on the battlefield in Korea; the exact number remains a secret. Furthermore, they did not have official identities and were organized as volunteers under the title of "Chinese Volunteer Army," legally independent from the ruling Communist Party regime at that time in China.
In the United States, 4,743 people subjected to the barbaric practice of slow death, mostly blacks, had their bodies hung along this timeline from the Civil War through the Korean and Vietnam Wars. In the same period, the number of those who suffered misfortune in China might be at least ten times as many.
It was only after that blacks started to receive more general equality. From Uncle Tom's Cabin to the Emancipation Proclamation, from the ballot box, Congress, courts, and military to economic survival and entry into the middle class, it took about a hundred years for African Americans: Dr. King’s eternal speech, I Have a Dream...
This was the situation of American blacks both within and outside the army during and after one hundred years of the anti-slavery war.
Back to China at the beginning of the American Civil War.
In 1861, Empress Dowager Cixi became the的实际统治者 of China, reigning until her death in 1908.
She was a tenacious woman; this period, filled with disasters during the storms of history,
was not only the end of the Qing Dynasty,
but also the final chapter for all Chinese imperial families and eunuchs.
Amidst the blood-red twilight as the two-thousand-year span of dynastic rule neared its termination,
it was a woman rather than a man who ruled China.
Two thousand years after Qin Shi Huang established the central imperial system, in the final scenery, a beautiful woman sat at the pinnacle of the Manchu Qing Dynasty's pyramid. As the supreme ruler, she suppressed half a century of melancholy. Heavy taxes are worse than tigers, she manipulated fierce tigers throughout her life; a casual oversight could lead to the death of millions.
The era she ruled was one of total colonialization. The force of industrialization invaded the colonial system, with machines and goods flowing to every corner of the world while politics and warfare were also going global. Under such a backdrop, what represented China was actually Empress Dowager Cixi and her ministers and eunuchs beneath her.
A century or so after her, none of the men who climbed to the apex of Chinese power provided anything that could match her in terms of: tolerance, freedom of speech, and an open-minded approach to Western culture, in many ways they were ashamed by her.
But to the author, the death toll is the first and last word on the ruler, which seems too unfair to her. In the torrent of heaven and earth, would a woman, who despite her seizure of supreme power bears the fate for the Manchu nobility and Chinese commoners, be judged so harshly? Although the number of Chinese people she harmed does not exceed that of her successors, the public monkey leaders.
Regarding women's rights, we need to make a point: Pyramid mechanics are pure: power. This power is not gender-specific, climb to the top and you get power, there’s no need to distinguish between male and female. But in societies where human rights do not exist, like China has been historically, the struggle for women's rights could liberate both genders completely. In an environment where men have thoroughly corrupted themselves, feminism becomes even more justifiable.
If the reader considers this book to be a history book, we also need to make a clarification: Unlike typical views of Chinese history, we do not adhere to any other historical perspectives. Our focus is solely on the death of ordinary humans. Not what is called spiritual or ideological death, we are referring only to physical death, in contrast to the end of life.
We do not seek the truth, and we will neither find any excuse for death, as death is simply death. This is because the spiders have already found ten thousand excuses for murder.
Empress Dowager Cixi's rule began in 1862 when Prince Bismarck of Prussia, then serving as the Prussian ambassador to France, successfully petitioned King Wilhelm I for a position as prime minister. Soon after, he initiated wars against Denmark, Austria, and France.
In January 1863, Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation two years into the Civil War.
In the later years of Empress Dowager Cixi's rule, Yuan Shikai rose from the military ranks to become the Governor of Zhili, while Xu Shichang advanced in the civil service to become the Governor of Northeast China. Empress Dowager Cixi seemed like a的老太太 watching them grow up.
However, people already knew that Grand View Garden had fallen into decline.
Literary masterpieces have prophesied history in this manner: false becomes true, and true becomes false. Scholarship on Redology is itself a trap; the author dares not even write their own name, yet countless researchers strive to earn professorial salaries from this very book.
Empress Dowager Cixi's name is too long, so we will refer to her henceforth as: Empress Dowager. Compared with the men before and after her, her sources of power were similarly: stolen,骗取, and seized. However, compared to the Communist Party that succeeded her in inheriting power, Empress Dowager exercised control over China through more indirect means, making her both more honest and more benevolent. Although she was also a tyrant as Plato described, obtaining power by improper means, her later years in Chinese history were relatively free in terms of speech.
In 1862, Bismarck, the Prussian ambassador to France, requested that King William I of Prussia appoint him as Prime Minister. He soon initiated wars, targeting Denmark, Austria, and France.
In January 1863, Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation, by which time the Civil War had been ongoing for nearly two years.
Rearranged rifling techniques gradually became widespread, and cavalry carbines saw significant improvements like the Spencer Carbine. Additionally, the Henry 1860 rifle with a 0.44 caliber used preloaded cartridges with shells and primers, allowing for the loading of up to fifteen rounds for continuous fire.
And from a global perspective, it was not only the fighting forces of the Union and Confederacy on the North American continent that fought to liberate slaves, but also the British Royal West Africa Squadron that had blockaded Africa for several decades, not just the枯燥的议会辩论 language, but also the winding stories penned by writers, and the compelling courtroom statements made by lawyers. The only means of expression for the slaves was body language.
Therefore, we observe history not through the words in historical texts but more through body language. The castrated eunuchs of ancient China and the women with bound feet since the Song Dynasty—these are among the most important references for us to gauge the civilization level of China. And the most crucial historical benchmark in our model has always been: death.
Before death, we do not believe in any excuse, no matter what it is, Civilization, victory, justice, thought, doctrine, tradition, loyalty and filial piety, social evolution... Death is always a disgrace. The pyramids always conceal the number of human deaths, Human deaths are its most truthful指标of shame. And Chinese history has never counted the number of Chinese people who died, Because the huge numbers were killed by themselves.
The Communist Party used class struggle theory to explain all social and historical phenomena. If one were to prove that class struggle liberated slaves, there might be a hundred ways to do so. Class struggle is a theory of self-inflicted violence, the history of freeing slaves could support this point, but this theory, which later prevailed in China and the Soviet Union, would not truly liberate slaves; it would only create new slave masters.
During the American Civil War, photography technology already existed, so the records of the war were more realistic. In terms of weapons, revolvers used six-round magazines but required manual loading of gunpowder, such as the Colt Revolver.
The Springfield Model 1861 rifle used bullets with pointed tips, making them more likely to penetrate the human body compared to round ball projectiles. Loading through the breech became increasingly common, and carbines used by cavalry received significant improvements, such as the Spencer Carbine. Another example is the Henry Model 1860 rifle in .44 caliber, which used pre-formed bullets with cases and primers that could be loaded in advance for fifteen consecutive shots.
However, the main actors in land battles were still artillery—12-pounder, 6-pounder, and 3-pounder cannons, mostly smoothbore guns. The positions where big guns roared often marked the main battlefield. Machine guns and ironclad warships also appeared during the war; industry influenced this conflict. Weapons were relatively cheap, armies fought along railroads, while President Lincoln could keep abreast of military developments via telegraph. Without industrialization, perhaps the Confederates had more chances to achieve a military victory. They boasted quite competent officers, including General Robert E. Lee who ultimately decided to surrender. After the war, he served as president of Washington and Lee University in Virginia.
Upgrading weapons means that the Indigenous people will also lose their combat advantage, even if they can ride bareback horses. However, compared to encountering battles, perhaps failing to establish an equal legal system might be the greatest factor in locking the last Native Americans into reservations? They couldn't establish such a system, but they were clear that white people had tricked them with contracts and bills of rights. Not all whites are bad guys, and not all red people are foolish good guys. Making excuses for greed—if people can only do this much, there's no need to flaunt one's intelligence. Later, when people first had the chance to test IQs, it was found that Native Americans' IQs were not worse than those of whites. Honest white missionaries once shamefully realized these indigenous people hadn't yet learned to discipline their own children or treated their children differently from others. Their tribal life turned out to be far more harmonious than the self-proclaimed missionaries had expected. However, they ultimately couldn't resist white diseases and alcohol. After sobering up, no one could clearly say which side committed more crimes, since tribal wars existed long before whites arrived. Indeed, not only did red people scalp white people, but whites also scalped red people. Regardless, after the American Civil War, the Native American Wars in North America quickly came to an end.
There were also some Chinese people who left images in photographs at that time, many of whom had a呆滞的目光好像魂不守舍, 像一群群待宰的猪羊。
Thoughts should be pure, meaning that thoughts are originally innocent. But after being severed by oracle bones and suppressed by pyramids, modern Chinese seems like plants on pyramids, becoming a highly toxic plant, poisoning even those who cannot read. And reading people kneeling at the feet of a woman do not elevate this woman, only making the readers more submissive.
These literati who entered politics behaved oddly and went against nature.
Take the official etiquette of "presenting tea to guests" as an example. In most human societies, offering a drink to a guest implies inviting the guest to drink it. But for these literati who became officials, it turned into: seeing off guests, asking them to leave. This distorted behavior clearly indicates the discrepancy between the surface appearance and the underlying reality of this societal culture.
The book repeatedly emphasizes body language, and also reveals the contradictions in ancient Chinese etiquette on multiple occasions, and asserts that the history told by body language is at least as true as the written history of China. One of its purposes is to prevent Confucian followers from continuing to harm others under the guise of ancient traditions, claiming that the collapse of ritual and music is the cause of moral decay, even so-called Zhou Gong's rituals already reflect an attempt similar to that of cannibals to constrain human bodies.
The author does not intend to deny the many superior aspects of Chinese culture, but the path that Chinese history itself has taken is toward autocratic tyranny, which is a historical fact. If one were to go back and repeat this in the name of reviving great culture, the result would likely still be tyranny.
The world population should have surpassed 1.3 billion at this time, with China alone having this number a century and a half later.
Text is usually black. When reading a book, people forget the relationship between language and the body; there is no language that can exist without bodily language. After reading a book written while the author was on their knees, the readers might also kneel down.
Many people have experienced a life journey like this: when first opening their eyes, if the parents are irresponsible, the infant will see a terrifying world. Conversely, they can slowly adapt to the new world in care. During childhood growth, a sense of "I am the biggest" gradually forms, during adolescence, when bodies and minds are developing, one discovers that "the world is the biggest," society being infinitely stronger than oneself. Thus, the consciousness of being small is re-established. Most people spend their lives traveling through this contradictory awareness.
Only when a person re-understands that they are as vast as the entire world, and every carbon atom in their carbohydrates is older than the mightiest emperor, and all people are thus equal at birth, can the belief in equality be a faith, and from the perspective of the periodic table, also a fact.
