⚠️ The Network "Black Hole"

Your 100% packet loss on the ping is the final boss for
this stage. Since you mentioned the VPN/Proxy situation is
familiar, here is the quick checklist to get your Termux
environment talking to the outside world so you can pull
the llama.cpp source:

Export Proxy in Termux:

If your host (zaasus) is running the proxy on 9910, and you
are connected via ADB/USB, use your host's LAN IP:

Bash
export https_proxy=http://<zaasus_lan_ip>:9910
export http_proxy=http://<zaasus_lan_ip>:9910

DNS Check:

If the proxy doesn't resolve the issue, Termux sometimes struggles with Android's DNS. You can try:

Bash
pkg install dnsutils
dig @8.8.8.8 google.com

Next Milestone: The Build

Once you get a successful ping or curl, you are ready for
the main event. Here is the specific build command
optimized for your Xiaomi's asimddp (Dot Product) and fphp
(Half-Precision) features:

Bash
# Clone the repo
git clone https://github.com/ggerganov/llama.cpp
cd llama.cpp

# Create build directory
mkdir build && cd build

# Configure with ARM-specific optimizations

cmake .. -DGGML_NATIVE=ON -DGGML_OPENMP=ON
# (Note: OpenMP is sometimes finicky in Termux, start without it first)

# The Build
cmake --build . --config Release -j$(nproc)

## vim on android

The "Vim-Plug" Factor
Since you mentioned setting up PlugInstall earlier, both Vim and Neovim support vim-plug. You can actually use the exact same plugin list for both.

My Suggestion:
Install Neovim (pkg install neovim). It will respect your existing .vimrc if you link it:

Bash
mkdir -p ~/.config/nvim
ln -s ~/.vimrc ~/.config/nvim/init.vim

This gives you the modern engine of Neovim while keeping the muscle memory of your custom leader keys.

On your Xiaomi, echo $HOME will return:

Bash
/data/data/com.termux/files/home
Why this matters for Stage A:
Absolute Paths: When configuring your C++/Rust toolchains or setting up cmake for llama.cpp, avoid hardcoding /home/.... Always use the ~ shortcut or the $HOME variable.

Permissions: This directory is owned by your Termux user (the u0_a345 you saw earlier). You have full control here, but you cannot easily cd into the rest of the Android system without "Storage" permissions.

The Prefix: Termux installs all its binaries (like clang++, rustc, and vim) in a unique "prefix":

Binaries: /data/data/com.termux/files/usr/bin

Config Files: /data/data/com.termux/files/usr/etc

Pro-Tip for your .vimrc sync
If your .vimrc on zaasus refers to paths like /home/za/.vim/..., those will break on the phone.

To make your config "portable" between the VM and the phone, use this snippet at the top of your .vimrc:

Vim Script
" Use a relative path for the undo/backup/plug directory
let s:home = expand('$HOME')
execute 'set undodir=' . s:home . '/.vim/undo'
