Good night! 🌙

hi gemi, help me write the 3td function in uploaded .py file v_filelist.py,
which is to make a list of files with abs path from a long string.
the sample string is copy/pasted from cmd 'ls',
so i can get a long string of file names,
edit it and feed it to generate a full path file list.

the skeleton is as follow:

file_list_str ="""
01-network-manager-all.yaml   clean_text.txt            grub                  oolisttmp.sh
970772112453073646367000.txt  day2                      helpoc                oolisttmp.yaml
Dockerfile                                         helpollama            package.info.txt
GEMINI.md                     docker.list                            red-bashrc
LlmManager.kt                 draft24apr                http-proxy.conf       rust.vs.cpp.md
a.dockerfile                  draft28apr.md             ip.addr.txt           rustGuess
agents.debug                                    kt.braindump.kt
apr15.md                      lcmake

"""
def make_file_list_from_str(f_list_str: str, pwd: str ="./") -> list[str]:
    """
    make a list of absolute path, file names chopped from the f_list_str
    """
    pass

Gemi, let's push the solution of web search for the bunker.
searxng first. i want to test the search engine on lxc container 'ailaba',
and if searxng want docker, we do docker on ailaba for it.

Later, i plan to add a conda for 'ailaba' to meet the main stream dev. tools requirements.

thank you for the 3 web search approaches.

who's doing the job of filling the parameters for the get_weather ?
google's online gemini-2.5-flash-lite, or langchain?
i guess it's google.

this time it make a step forward to the correct answer,
it shows: weather in Tokyo on 2026-05-02,
the following is the updated script and results:

$ cat ddgs.agent.py

# pip install duckduckgo-search
#from duckduckgo_search import DDGS
from ddgs import DDGS
from langchain.agents import create_agent

from datetime import date

# 1. We write a REAL tool that touches the internet
def get_real_weather(city: str, date: str) -> str:
    """Use this tool to search the web for current weather in a given city."""
    print(f"\n[Bunker Log: Searching the web for {city} weather...]\n")

    print("--- Testing Network Connection ---")
    try:
        with DDGS() as ddgs:
            # Asking for just 1 result to test the pipe
            results = ddgs.text(f"weather in {city} on {date}", max_results=1)

        if results:
            print("SUCCESS! The wall is breached. Data received:")
            print(results[0]['body'])
            return results[0]['body']
        else:
            return """FAILED:
                  Connection went through,
                  but DuckDuckGo returned nothing
                  (Possible rate-limit or proxy block)."""

    except Exception as e:
        print(f"FAILED: Network crashed. Error: {e}")
        return f"FAILED: Network crashed. Error: {e}"

# 2. We hand our real tool to the agent
agent = create_agent(
    model="google_genai:gemini-2.5-flash-lite",
    tools=[get_real_weather],
    system_prompt="""You are a helpful assistant.
    Always use your tools to answer questions about today's weather.""",
)

today = str(date.today())
content = f"What's the actual weather in Tokyo, {today}?"

# 3. Trigger the agent
result = agent.invoke(
    {"messages": [{"role": "user", "content": content}]}
)

print("\n--- Final Agent Response ---")
print(result["messages"][-1].content)

Should i think duckduckgo_search couldn't be renamed as ddgs?

$ uv add duckduckgo-search

Prepared 3 packages in 44.31s
Installed 3 packages in 3ms
 + duckduckgo-search==8.1.1

 + primp==1.2.3
za@zaasus:~/dev/orchestration
$ uv run ddgs.agent.py

[Bunker Log: Searching the web for Tokyo weather...]

/home/za/dev/orchestration/ddgs.agent.py:12: RuntimeWarning: This package (`duckduckgo_search`) has been renamed to `ddgs`! Use `pip install ddgs` instead.
  with DDGS() as ddgs:

I am sorry, I cannot fulfill this request. The available tool couldn't retrieve the weather information for Tokyo.

I'm wonderring if this example from langchain is helpful,
how the tool, which is function get_weather(),
even reach google's service and give correct result?

could we make a script just websearch the weather?

##

the ':latest' is not needed in h.py ?
ollama know that there's only one model for it:
embeddings = OllamaEmbeddings(model="nomic-embed-text")

```Bash
$ uv run h.py
/home/za/dev/orchestration/h.py:15: LangChainDeprecationWarning: The class `OllamaEmbeddings` was deprecated in LangChain 0.3.1 and will be removed in 1.0.0. An updated version of the class exists in the `langchain-ollama package and should be used instead. To use it run `pip install -U `langchain-ollama` and import as `from `langchain_ollama import OllamaEmbeddings``.
  embeddings = OllamaEmbeddings(model="nomic-embed-text")
