ios android alternative

The best mainstream alternative to iOS and Android is **Android** itself,
specifically stock versions on devices like the **Google Pixel** or
**OnePlus**, which offer the widest app support and smoothest transition.

For users seeking **privacy and security**, hardened Android forks like
**GrapheneOS**, **CalyxOS**, and **/e/OS** remove Google tracking while
maintaining app compatibility.

For those wanting a complete departure from the Android ecosystem,
**Linux-based mobile operating systems** are available for enthusiasts.

**Ubuntu Touch** and **Plasma Mobile** provide open-source,
desktop-convergent experiences primarily on
devices like the **PinePhone** and **Librem 5**.

**Sailfish OS** offers a unique gesture-based interface with
limited Android app emulation,
**KaiOS** serves as a lightweight option for feature
phones with essential smartphone capabilities.
